
MEET OUR DOCTOR
Meet Dr. Stephanie Johnson! Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She attended Pepperdine University in southern California where she was on the Pepperdine crew team and graduated magna cum laude. She then earned her Masters at University of Nevada, Las Vegas achieving a 4.0 GPA. Before becoming an eye doctor, Dr. Johnson was an elementary school teacher for Clark County School District! She then went back to school and graduated with Honors from Southern California College of Optometry after 4 more years of education and training. Her training was completed at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Las Vegas as well as at two ophthalmology practices, the Wellish Vision Institute and New Eyes. While in training, Dr. Johnson gained extensive experience in managing ocular diseases including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, and dry eye disease. For over a decade she has been dedicated to providing quality eye care and practicing full-scope optometry for patients of all ages using the latest in eye care technology, as well as fitting glasses and contact lenses. She is board certified by the state of Nevada and California to treat and manage ocular diseases such as infectious conditions, glaucoma, and dry eye. She resides with her family in Summerlin and is proud to be an active member of her community. In her spare time, she volunteers with Lions In Sight providing eye examinations to those in need in foreign countries. Dr. Johnson enjoys tennis, mountaineering, and spending time with her family and dog. She is currently training to summit Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina. Dr. Johnson looks forward to caring for your eyes!
